Course Description
This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.
This course is a visual introduction to web development for beginners and learners at an early intermediate level. Each lesson shows real code and what the browser does with it, step by step, so you can see why a page looks and behaves the way it does. A running example, a small neighborhood café called Harborlight Café, grows into a complete one-page site across the lessons.
The course is organized in three parts. The first part covers HTML and the web: how browsers and servers work, HTML structure and meaning, and forms, tables, and accessibility. The second part covers CSS and layout: selectors and the cascade, the box model, flexbox and grid, and responsive design. The third part covers JavaScript and shipping: JavaScript basics, the DOM, events and fetching data, debugging with developer tools, and publishing a finished site.
Each lesson runs about five minutes and focuses on one idea, building toward a key insight that makes the concept click. You can move through the material at your own pace, pause on any slide, and return to a topic whenever you need it. Key terms are defined the first time they appear, examples are small and easy to follow, and each lesson closes with a summary of the main idea before the next one begins. The lessons build on each other, so watching them in order is recommended.
The course contains 13 short lectures totaling about 60 minutes of video. It teaches core concepts, is independent, and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any company or organization mentioned. It makes no claims about career or income outcomes.
AI tools were used in creating this course. AI was used to help draft the lesson scripts and slides, and the narration is a synthetic (AI-generated) voice, not a recording of a human speaker. The instructor directed the course structure and content.
