Visualizing audio with spectrums in Adobe After Effects

Visualizing audio with spectrums in Adobe After Effects, Learn how to use Audio Spectrum and Audio Waveform effects in Adobe After Effects by doing 5 projects.

We can only understand sounds by listening to them. But there are lots of ways to help us visualize them. Audio Spectrum is one of them. We can use the Audio Spectrum to show how the volume of different frequencies changes over time. With Adobe After Effects, we can make Audio Spectrums without installing any plugins. There are many ways to use this effect, which means that if we want to be creative and try to think outside the box, we can make a lot of great projects.

I learned how to use this effect a few months ago, and I’ve used it in some of my work since then. I love teaching, so I thought it would be nice to make a course about it. That’s why I started this course as a new project. We start this course by learning how a real Audio Spectrum device works. Then we learn about all of this effect’s options and parameters.

The next step is to talk about the audio waveform effect. Audio Spectrum Effect has a sister called Audio Waveform. They have many similarities, so as our first bonus part, we want to talk about this effect.

When we know more about what these effects can do, we’ll start working on our four projects. The projects I chose are meant to show you different ways to use this effect. So, from an artistic point of view, they could probably be much better, but I focused on finding different ways to use this effect. We will work quickly because their goal is to show us new, creative ways to use this effect. So, get a pen and write things down.

When we finish our Projects, we get to the second bonus part. As a second bonus part, we do another project, but this time we want to work on all of its parts and use a lot of plugins.

I think that after you finish this course, you will be able to figure out how other artists create their projects, and you will soon be able to make amazing works of art.

Finally, I want to say thanks to the amazing musicians and artists who let us use their inspiring artworks, as well as to all the other kind people who supported me throughout this project. I must admit that there are some linguistic or technical mistakes because this is my first time recording an English Tutorial. I hope you can ignore those and still find it helpful.
