How to Become an Entry-Level Video Editor with No Experience, A beginner-friendly guide to learning video editing, building your skills, and taking steps toward earning income.
Course Description
Welcome to this course on video editing for absolute beginners! If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to edit videos but weren’t sure where to start, this course will help you build a foundation and develop the skills needed to get started.
We’ll begin by covering computer hardware and video editing software so you can understand what you need to get started. From there, we’ll dive into Adobe Premiere Pro and explore the basics of editing, including how to import footage, make cuts and trims, add transitions, adjust audio, and add text to your videos. You’ll also learn how to resize your videos for different platforms and formats.
As you progress through the course, you’ll become familiar with essential editing tools and techniques that you can use to create your own videos. The goal is to help you feel more comfortable using video editing software and give you the confidence to start working on your own projects.
But learning how to edit is only the beginning! We’ll also cover how to create a beginner-friendly video editing reel to showcase your skills, put together a resume and cover letter, and explore practical steps you can take to gain experience. You’ll learn about different ways to pursue paid video editing opportunities, whether through entry-level positions or freelance work.
By the end of this course, you’ll have a foundation in video editing, a better understanding of how to present your skills, and a clearer idea of the steps you can take toward becoming a paid video editor.
