Course Description
This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.
This course is a practical introduction to prompt engineering for beginners and learners at an early intermediate level. Each lesson builds a prompt step by step and shows what changes when you improve it, so you can see why some prompts work and others do not. A running example, a small real-estate agency called Ridgeview Realty, connects every lesson. The course is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any AI company.
The course is organized in three parts. The first part covers how chatbots work and how to ask: how responses are generated, the anatomy of a good prompt, specificity, constraints and format, and examples. The second part covers getting better results: step-by-step reasoning, iterating and refining, working with documents and data, and recognizing hallucinations and verifying answers. The third part covers prompts at work: prompts for writing, analysis, and planning, reusable templates and workflows, privacy and responsible use, and building your own prompting playbook.
Each lesson runs about five minutes and focuses on one idea, building toward a key insight that makes the concept click. You can move through the material at your own pace, pause on any slide, and return to a topic whenever you need it. Key terms are defined the first time they appear, examples are small and easy to follow, and each lesson closes with a summary of the main idea before the next one begins. The lessons build on each other, so watching them in order is recommended.
The course contains 13 short lectures totaling about 60 minutes of video. It teaches core concepts, is independent, and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any company or organization mentioned. It makes no claims about career or income outcomes.
AI tools were used in creating this course. AI was used to help draft the lesson scripts and slides, and the narration is a synthetic (AI-generated) voice, not a recording of a human speaker. The instructor directed the course structure and content.
Who this course is for:
- Professionals, students, and small business owners who want better results from AI chat tools
- Anyone who has tried AI assistants and found the answers vague, inconsistent, or unreliable
- Teams who want shared prompting practices and responsible-use habits
- This course is not intended for learners who want to build AI systems or write code. It focuses on using AI assistants well.
