Course Description
Few AI tools used in this course.
Every construction project runs on a contract. And yet most engineers, project managers and quantity surveyors spend years on site without ever properly understanding the document that governs everything they do — the payments, the risks, the deadlines, the disputes.
This course fixes that.
What this course does
In under an hour of focused video, you will build a solid, practical foundation in construction contract administration. You will learn how contracts are structured, who the parties are and what they are each responsible for, how to read the documents without getting lost in legal language, and — critically — how to spot claims and variations before they turn into expensive disputes.
By the end, you will have a personal toolkit: a clause quick-reference card, a contract health-check form, and the confidence to pick up any construction contract and know exactly what you are looking at.
What you get
8 focused video lectures — no padding, no repetition A downloadable 7-Clause Quick Reference Card — the clauses every contracts manager must know, on one page A Contract Health-Check Worksheet — use it on your next project to audit any live contract A Claims & Variations Spotter — a decision-tree tool to tell you whether something is a claim, a variation, or neither A 10-question mid-course quiz to test your understanding before you move on Direct Q&A with the instructor — post a question and get a personal answer
Who teaches this
This course is taught by Reem Ibrahim, a construction contracts specialist with over 26 years of experience on major projects across the Middle East and internationally. He has managed contracts under FIDIC, and bespoke forms, handled claims on both sides of the table, and trained contracts teams for large EPC contractors. He teaches the way he wishes someone had taught him: straight answers, real examples, no unnecessary jargon.
What makes this different from the other courses
Most contract courses either bury you in legal theory or jump straight to FIDIC clause-by-clause analysis without giving you the foundation to follow along. This course is the foundation. It is the course you take first — before the advanced ones — and the one you come back to when you need to check your basics.
If you are already past the beginner stage, the claims and variations lecture and the contract management lifecycle lecture will still be worth your time. These are the two areas where most experienced practitioners have gaps, they do not know they have.
