More info about the project:
YFU, a youth-focused volunteer organisation, believes that involving young people in advocacy, diplomacy, and policymaking is vital for addressing some of today’s most urgent challenges. This training programme is designed to inspire and equip young individuals to engage confidently with political stakeholders, both at the national and European level. In addition, we are committed to championing the needs of youth, while actively promoting and safeguarding pan-European values like democracy & human rights.
To effectively amplify youth voices, it is crucial for youth organisations to collaborate on advocacy initiatives. During a 3-day training course in Switzerland, 40 young representatives from 15 international youth networks will engage with key youth policies and developments in European youth and mobility, while honing skills in representation, networking and policymaking. They will exchange best practices, inspire one another, and build stronger strategic networks for future collaborations.
This training brings together diverse organisations united by shared priorities: inclusion and diversity, removing barriers to learning mobility, recognition of non-formal education, intercultural dialogue, active citizenship, youth participation, and volunteering. Through this collaboration, young activists will not only enhance their individual skills but also strengthen their collective ability to address these crucial topics through ongoing advocacy efforts.
